Open Mind (Wonho song)
Open Mind is Wonho’s second solo single, released on September 4, 2020, as the lead track from his debut EP Love Synonym Pt.1: Right for Me. It marked Wonho’s first solo project after leaving Monsta X in 2019. The song blends electropop with eighties-style warped bass and synth, dipping into electronic textures with a punchy 808 beat and occasional distorted vocals. Wonho’s vocals are described as hazy in the pre-chorus, giving way to a groovy, funk-filled drop. The lyrics hint at a one-night stand, presented over an electro-funk groove. The track runs about 3 minutes and features both Korean and English lyrics.
A music video released with the song is choreography-heavy, showing Wonho and backup dancers performing sleek moves on a neon-lit stage in red, purple, and blue lighting. It also includes scenes of Wonho getting ready for a night out, tossing a coin in the air, riding an elevator, and driving a neon-lit car through a tunnel of lights.
