Ambrus, Ivančna Gorica
Ambrus is a small village in central Slovenia, in the Municipality of Ivančna Gorica. It covers 5.67 square kilometers and sits at about 355 meters above sea level. In 2002, 261 people lived there. The area is part of the historic region of Lower Carniola and today belongs to the Central Slovenia Statistical Region. In old records the village has been spelled in several ways, including Ambros and Ambruschs. The local parish church is dedicated to Saint Bartholomew; it belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Novo Mesto and was built in 1811.
