Edmund Pevensie
Edmund Pevensie is a fictional character in The Chronicles of Narnia series by C. S. Lewis. He is one of the four Pevensie siblings—Peter, Susan, Lucy, and Edmund—who visit the magical land of Narnia. He appears as a main character in three books (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; Prince Caspian; The Voyage of the Dawn Treader) and is a lesser character in two others (The Horse and His Boy and The Last Battle).
In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Edmund starts as a spiteful, self-centered boy. He is briefly under the White Witch’s spell and betrays his siblings to her. After meeting Aslan, he regrets his actions. Aslan sacrifices himself to save Edmund, is resurrected, and Edmund helps fight for Narnia. For his loyalty and courage, he is crowned King Edmund the Just and becomes co-ruler of Narnia with his siblings.
In Prince Caspian, Edmund is older and becomes a brave ally to Caspian, helping restore him to the throne. In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, he travels on a long sea voyage with Lucy and their cousin Eustace; he acts as a mentor to Eustace and helps guide the group. That voyage is their last Narnia adventure together, and Aslan tells them they are growing too old to return.
As an adult in Narnia, Edmund handles important negotiations and is protective of Lucy, often serving as a voice of reason for Peter. In The Last Battle, Edmund and his sisters appear again; after a train accident, they go to Aslan’s country, where they live forever.
