Alexander Yermolov
Alexander Petrovich Yermolov (1754–1834) was a Russian court favorite and Catherine the Great's lover for a short time, from 1785 to 1786. Grigory Potemkin introduced him to Catherine, and Anna Protasova tested him before he became her lover in 1785. He later supported Potemkin's enemies and tried to have Potemkin removed, which cost him his position. In the late 1780s he went to Paris and spent the rest of his life at Schloss Frohsdorf.
