Śląski Klub Fantastyki (ŚKF) is the oldest science fiction and fantasy fan club in Silesia, Poland. It was founded in 1981 in Katowice by Piotr Kasprowski at the University of Silesia and is a Public Benefit Organization. The club has about 200 members (as of 2004) and runs a library and several publications. ŚKF organizes major events, including Polcon, Poland’s largest science‑fiction convention, which it hosted five times (1986, 1988, 1997, 2001 and 2010); the 2010 Polcon also served as Eurocon. The club also runs the annual Seminarium Literackie and the anime/manga event Asucon. It awards its own Śląkfa prize, established in 1984. Notable members include Piotr W. Cholewa, Jakub Ćwiek, and Anna Kańtoch. The headquarters are in the Koszutka district of Katowice, in the Silesia region. Its website is skf.org.pl.
