2022 Shiga gubernatorial election

The 2022 Shiga gubernatorial election was held on July 10, 2022, to elect the governor of Shiga Prefecture in the Kansai region of Honshu, Japan.

Incumbent governor Taizo Mikazuki, affiliated with the Democratic Party for the People (DPFP), won re-election. He defeating Kiyotsugu Konishi of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP). Mikazuki received 530,460 votes (86.85%), while Konishi received 80,301 votes (13.85%). Voter turnout was 55.28%.

Mikazuki was governor before the election and remained in office afterward.
