Zinc finger protein 532 (ZNF532) is a human protein produced by the ZNF532 gene on chromosome 18q21.32. It is a transcription factor, meaning it helps control which genes are turned on or off. The protein has zinc finger regions that let it bind DNA and regulate transcription in the cell nucleus.

ZNF532 is conserved in mammals, with a mouse version located on chromosome 18. In both humans and mice, it is expressed in developing tissues, especially in brain regions such as the ganglionic eminences, ventricular zone, and corpus callosum, as well as in other embryonic structures like the olfactory bulb, genital tubercle, and maxillary prominences.

Functionally, ZNF532 has DNA-binding and metal ion–binding capabilities and plays a role in regulating transcription by RNA polymerase II in the nucleus.
