Orongia whangamoa
Orongia whangamoa is a tiny spider from New Zealand. It belongs to the Orsolobidae family. It was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick, based on male spiders found in Nelson. The holotype, the specimen used to describe the species, is in the New Zealand Arthropod Collection with the catalog number NZAC03014999. The male is about 2.8 mm long. This species is known only from Whangamoa in Nelson, New Zealand. Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, it is listed as Data Deficient, with qualifiers Data Poor: Size, Data Poor: Trend, and One Location.
