2012 Bank of the West Classic – Singles
Serena Williams defended her title at the 2012 Bank of the West Classic in singles, defeating lucky loser CoCo Vandeweghe in the final 7–5, 6–3. This was the first all-American final on the WTA Tour since 2009, and the first on American soil since 2004 in Los Angeles. The tournament had a 28-player draw with 8 seeds, and the top four seeds received byes into the second round.
