Yangiobod District

Yangiobod district is in Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh Region. The capital is the village of Balandchaqir. It covers 720 square kilometers and has about 28,300 residents (as of 2020). The population density is around 39 people per square kilometer. The district includes two urban-type settlements, Yangiobod and Savot, and five rural communities: Xovos, Sarmich, Xoʻjamushkent, Savat, and Havotogʻ. The time zone is UTC+5 (UZT).
