Megalomus carpenteri is a small brown lacewing insect found in North America. It belongs to the family Hemerobiidae. The species name carpenteri honors Frank M. Carpenter, a scientist who studied ancient Neuroptera. It was first described in 1997 by Penny, Adams and Stange.
