WIS TV Tower
WIS TV Tower is a tall radio and television mast in Lugoff, South Carolina. Standing about 465.1 meters (1,526 feet) high, it is supported by guy wires and transmits FM radio and TV signals. It was built in 1958 to replace an earlier 1953 tower, by Kline Iron and Steel of Columbia, South Carolina. At the time, it was the highest man-made structure east of the Mississippi River and helped WIS-TV expand its coverage from 29 counties to 41. The coordinates are 34.12500°N, 80.75611°W.
