Nicki Clyne
Nicki Clyne, born February 1983 in Vancouver, is a Canadian former actress best known for her role as Cally Henderson on Battlestar Galactica. She had early guest roles on Dark Angel, Smallville, The Twilight Zone, and The Dead Zone before becoming a regular on Battlestar Galactica, where her character dies in the final season. She also acted in Lunamancer, hosted Syfy's Blastr TV, and appeared in the illustrated film series Godkiller, as well as in the web series Personal Space with Richard Hatch.
Clyne was a member of NXIVM, the group founded by Keith Raniere. She joined in 2005 and later became involved in DOS, a secret sisterhood led by Raniere. DOS members were asked to recruit others and perform acts of devotion, including branding and other coercive practices involving sex and the use of "collateral" to ensure obedience. The group drew public attention after a 2017 New York Times article. Raniere was later arrested and convicted of crimes including sex trafficking. Clyne testified to a grand jury and invoked the Fifth Amendment; she was not indicted.
After Ranière’s conviction, Clyne and other NXIVM members formed an activist group, We Are As You. She has spoken publicly about NXIVM and Raniere in interviews and in the HBO series The Vow, and in 2023 said she would stop defending him. In her personal life, Clyne married fellow NXIVM member Allison Mack in 2017; Mack filed for divorce in 2020, with some reports alleging the marriage was not genuine.
Clyne continues to be involved in acting and makes appearances related to science fiction and pop culture.
