Vaumarcus was a small municipality in the district of Boudry in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It covered about 1.8 square kilometers, sat at 447 meters above sea level, and had around 250 residents in 2007. On January 1, 2018, it merged with Bevaix, Saint-Aubin-Sauges, Gorgier, Montalchez and Fresens to form the new municipality of La Grande-Béroche.

History: The village is first mentioned in 1227 as Valmarcuel. It became Vaumarcus-Vernéaz in 1875 after merging with Vernéaz, a name used until 1966.

Geography: Land use was mainly agricultural (about 59%), with forest making up around 24% and settled areas about 17%. The forest was all heavy forest. Crops, pastures and orchards/vine crops dominated farming.

Population and language: The population is primarily French-speaking. In 2008 about 17% were foreign nationals. The population was roughly split between men and women, with a range of ages represented.

Heritage: La Redoute Des Bourguignons, a prehistoric site in Vaumarcus, is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

Economy: Unemployment was about 4.4% in 2010. The area had workers in farming, manufacturing and services. Vaumarcus was a net importer of workers, with more people commuting in than out. Most people used private cars to get to work.

Education: Many residents had completed upper secondary or higher education. The kindergarten is shared with nearby St-Aubin-Sauges. In 2010–11 there were three kindergarten classes with about 50 students and one primary class with about 17 students; some students attended schools outside the municipality.
