Meshkin Dasht District
Meshkin Dasht District is in Fardis County, Alborz province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Meshkin Dasht. The district is located at about 35.733°N, 50.950°E. In 2010, Karaj County became part of the newly established Alborz province. In 2013, Meshkin Dasht and other areas were separated from Karaj to form Fardis County, which was divided into two districts, each with two rural districts. The city of Fardis was elevated to city status and became the county's capital. At the 2016 census, Meshkin Dasht District had 83,700 people in 25,490 households. The time zone is IRST (UTC+3:30).
