Ricky Silverio
Ricky Silverio, full name Ricardo Sison Silverio Jr., is a Filipino politician from Bulacan. He is the son of former businessman Ricardo Silverio and Beatriz Sison. He ran for Congress in Bulacan’s 3rd District in 2010, challenging his father who had previously held the seat, but both lost to Joselito Mendoza. He tried again in 2019 for the same district but was defeated by the incumbent, his stepmother Lorna Silverio. In 2006, he said he was beaten and dragged out of the family’s Makati home by his father’s bodyguards. In 2008 he filed a grave coercion case against his father over ownership of that house. The house was sold in 2011 to Antonio “Tony” Garcia, chairman of Chemphil. After his father’s death, Ricky claimed rights to the estate, but the Court of Appeals denied his petition.
