Urvasi Urvasi
Urvasi Urvasi is a Tamil song from the 1994 movie Kaadhalan. It was composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics by Vairamuthu, and sung by Suresh Peters, Shahul Hameed, and Rahman himself. The track was later released in Telugu and Hindi. In Hindi, the Kaadhalan soundtrack was released as Humse Hai Muqabala and sold about 2.5 million copies in India, with Urvasi Urvasi becoming one of its most loved songs.
In 2014, will.i.am and Cody Wise created a version called It's My Birthday based on Urvasi Urvasi, which topped the UK charts. The song was used in the 2016 Australian film Lion. In 2017, Rahman released an unplugged version with updated references. In 2018, Yo Yo Honey Singh released a cover titled "Urvashi." The line "Take It Easy Policy" from the song was used as the title of Prabhu Deva's 2021 autobiography. The title also inspired the 1996 film Take It Easy Urvasi.
