FERb 033
FERb 033 is a lab-made, nonsteroidal estrogen used in scientific research. It was developed in 2009 and acts as a strong and selective activator of the estrogen receptor beta (ERβ). It binds ERβ very well (Ki = 7.1 nM) and works effectively at low concentrations (EC50 = 4.8 nM). It is about 62 times more selective for ERβ than for estrogen receptor alpha (ERα). In short, FERb 033 is a useful tool for studying ERβ biology, but it is not approved as a medicine.
