Kazusa, Nagasaki
Kazusa (Kazusa-machi) was a town in Minamitakaki District, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. In 2003, it had about 7,870 residents and covered 24.38 square kilometers, with a population density of about 323 people per square kilometer. On March 31, 2006, Kazusa merged with the towns of Arie, Fukae, Futsu, Kitaarima, Kuchinotsu, Minamiarima, and Nishiarie to form the city of Minamishimabara. The area around Tsuuji Island is home to resident dolphins, which attract tourists for dolphin watching and help local tourism.
