UN Security Council Resolution 174 (1962)
On September 12, 1962, in meeting 1018 (code S/5166), the Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 174. After considering Jamaica’s application for United Nations membership, the Council recommended to the General Assembly that Jamaica be admitted as a member of the United Nations.
Vote: 11 for, 0 against, 0 abstentions
Result: Adopted
