Saigon: Year of the Cat
Saigon: Year of the Cat is a British television drama from 1983. It was directed by Stephen Frears and written by David Hare, with Judi Dench starring as Barbara Dean, a British bank manager in Saigon. In 1974 she begins a romance with American Bob Chesneau (Frederic Forrest), who she soon learns works for the CIA, and that the fall of South Vietnam is near. The cast also includes E. G. Marshall, Wallace Shawn, Chic Murray and Rong Wongsawan. Produced by Thames Television for ITV, the 105-minute drama aired on November 29, 1983.
