Overview:
A Lezgin raiding party ambushed a royal guard escort led by Ketevan Andronikashvili while she traveled with the king’s guard from Mukhrani toward Tbilisi. After the ambush, Ketevan took command and led three mounted counterattacks. The Georgians defeated the raiders decisively. Ketevan and the guard reached Tbilisi unharmed and were welcomed by King Heraclius II with a grand celebration.
