Tsukumonogatari
Tsukumonogatari is a 2011 adventure RPG video game for the PlayStation Portable. It was developed by Killaware and published by FuRyu, and it was released in Japan on January 27, 2011. The game is designed for a single-player experience.
Gameplay
You play as Yūto Ishigami, a student who can see spirits after surviving a dangerous fall. He explores his school to find objects that seem possessed by spirits. When you identify a suspected possessed object, you can photograph it with a mobile phone. Each photo advances the in-game time by five minutes. In battles, you summon a spirit and attach up to three “words” to it. These words, learned through talking with people at school or hearing rumors and myths, give the spirit new abilities. A central theme of Tsukumonogatari is the power of words in combat and storytelling.
Plot
After being pushed out of a classroom window, Yūto survives and discovers he can see the supernatural. His school is overrun by Ayakashi, yokai-like demons causing trouble for the students and staff. Yorishiro—ordinary objects inhabited by friendly spirits—are scattered around the school and are crucial for fighting the Ayakashi.
