2010–11 Israeli Basketball Super League
The 2010–2011 Israeli Basketball Super League, also known as Ligat Loto, was the league’s 57th season. It ran from 17 October 2010 to 26 May 2011 and had 10 teams. Each team played 18 regular-season games (home and away against every other team), followed by a third round where teams played each other once more. The top eight teams moved on to the playoffs in best‑of‑five series, with matchups based on their regular-season rankings (1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, etc.). The playoff winners advanced to the Final Four to decide the champion. The bottom two teams played a relegation playoff, and the loser dropped to Liga Leumit.
Champions: Maccabi Tel Aviv; runners-up: Hapoel Gilboa Galil. Season MVP: Gal Mekel. Top scorer: Lee Nailon. Relegated: Ironi Ashkelon. Finals MVP: David Blu.
Notable events: One game, Maccabi Haifa vs Maccabi Rishon LeZion, was postponed due to the Mount Carmel forest fire and played on January 13. Another postponement, Maccabi Haifa vs Hapoel Holon, occurred at Maccabi Haifa’s request and was played on January 27. In December, the league announced the return of the BSL All-Star Game, which was played on January 12, 2011, with Israeli All-Stars facing International All-Stars.
