Theatre Aurora

Theatre Aurora is a volunteer-run community theatre in Aurora, Ontario. It began in 1958 as the Aurora Drama Workshop, and its first show, Tovarich, was at Aurora High School. In 1973 it merged with the Aurora Musical Theatre Society and became Theatre Aurora. In 1974 it moved to Henderson Drive, leasing a former cement factory from the Town of Aurora. Renovations over the years turned the building into the theatre it is today. Theatre Aurora puts on at least five productions each year, including one musical, and it also rents space for concerts and other events.
