FEFANA
FEFANA asbl is a European Union trade association for animal feed additives. Its members are manufacturers and traders of feed additives, functional ingredients, premixes, and other specialty mixtures used in animal nutrition and that enter the food chain via feed. FEFANA acts as a bridge between EU institutions and feed operators, while promoting feed and food safety and a fair, competitive market. The statutes were first signed on 22 January 1963 by national associations from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. The acronym FEFANA originally stood for Fédération Européenne des Fabricants d’Adjuvants pour la Nutrition Animale. Since 13 October 2004, FEFANA has had non-profit status under Belgian law.
