Cerconota sciaphilina
Cerconota sciaphilina is a moth in the Depressariidae family. It is found in Mexico and Panama, and has a wingspan of about 19–21 mm.
Forewings: grey with some white, and a white leading edge. A dark streak runs from the base toward the inner edge, to about one-fifth of the wing. There are three cloudy dark lines across the forewings, with white edging in places. The first line goes from near one-quarter of the costa to the middle of the wing; the second from beyond the middle to about three-quarters, edged with white in front and shaded with dark tones toward the back; the third runs from near the wingtip to the tornus, with a sharp notch below the costa and then curves outward, edged with white.
Around the edge are eight blackish marks, and the outer margin has a white tint.
Hindwings: grey.
Synonyms: Cryptolechia sciaphilina and Stenoma torophragma. Described by Zeller in 1877.
