The World Is Mine is a Japanese manga written and drawn by Hideki Arai. It ran from 1997 to 2001 in Weekly Young Sunday and was collected into 14 volumes. A revised edition, Shinsetsu The World Is Mine, was released in five volumes in 2006.

Story overview
Two fugitives, Mon and Toshiya “Toshi” Misumi, travel north through Japan, planting improvised fire-extinguisher bombs. After Toshi is arrested in Aomori Prefecture, Mon violently attacks a police station to free him, earning a reputation as a domestic terrorist. A mysterious beast named Higumadon crosses the Tsugaru Strait and appears on Honshu. A hunter who was once superhuman, Takeru Iijima, becomes involved, while journalist Takayuki Hoshino follows the events. The government and military face international pressure over whether to destroy or protect Higumadon, and Japanese authorities struggle to contain the attacks. The crises disrupt many lives as the actions of both the terrorists and the monster unfold.
