David Woodcock is an English singer-songwriter from Southend-on-Sea, Essex. He makes indie, Britpop and alternative rock and performs as a singer, guitarist and keyboardist.

He released his debut single "Same Things" in 2013 and his self-titled debut album in 2014 on Blow Up Records. His songs "Same Things," "Beggars Can't Be Choosers" and "Open Secret" have been played on national radio, including BBC 6 Music and XFM, and he did a live session for Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music in August 2014. His single "Relatively Single Man" won BBC 6 Music's Rebel Playlist with 52% of the public vote. His third album, "Pictures Of Me," was released in 2023 on Thank Dog Records and received praise, with the Daily Mirror calling it bittersweet vignettes of love. Ian McCann of Record Collector praised him as a classic Brit songwriter, and Steve Lamacq described him as "Part Stiff Records, part Brit Pop."

Live, he often performs solo or with his band The Fixtures (Joe Blamey on drums, Wendy Solomon on bass, Mark Elliott on guitar). He recorded another 6Music session for Riley and Coe on 28 February 2024. His partner Wendy Solomon fronts Angel and the Melodyhorns and also performs as "Jem Lea" with Slady, an all-female Slade tribute band. Woodcock has played guitar with the Melodyhorns and occasionally keyboards with Slady; Slady later created a three-piece acoustic version in late 2023 with Holder, Lea and Stan (Our Friend Stan).
