Largescale mullet (Planiliza macrolepis) is a species of ray-finned fish in the mullet family Mugilidae. It lives in the Indo-Pacific, especially in shallow coastal areas, estuaries, and waters with low salinity.

Appearance: It is greenish-grey on the top and silvery-grey underneath. The fins are bluish-grey with darker edges. The back looks almost straight from the side, while the belly is rounded. The dorsal fin has four to five spines and eight or nine soft rays; the anal fin has three spines and about nine soft rays.

Conservation: It is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
