The Long Ride is a 1999 folk album by Ramblin' Jack Elliott. It was released on September 14, 1999, by High Tone and produced by Roy Rogers. The album features guest musicians Dave Van Ronk, Tom Russell, and Maria Muldaur. It was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Traditional Folk Album category. In Elliott's discography, it sits after Friends of Mine (1998) and before Best of the Vanguard Years (2000). A No Depression review by Bobby Reed called the duet folk songs the heart of the record, but noted Elliott's limited vocal range and spare guitar, and mentioned that the 7.5-minute closing track makes the album end on a long, rocky note.
