People's Liberation Army Information Support Force
The People's Liberation Army Information Support Force (ISF) is a branch of China’s military, created on 19 April 2024. Its role is to coordinate the development and use of the PLA’s network information systems, a key part of modern multi-domain warfare. It took over the information-support functions from the former Strategic Support Force.
The ISF operates at deputy-theatre-command level, the same rank as the Aerospace Support Force and the Cyberspace Support Force. It sits below the regular service branches and the theater commands in the PLA hierarchy.
Its commander is Lieutenant General Bi Yi, and its political commissar is General Li Wei.
Insignia for the ISF includes a flag and a sleeve badge.
