Terry Bussey is a college football wide receiver for the Texas A&M Aggies. He was born on August 13, 2006, in Timpson, Texas, and is 6 feet tall and about 195 pounds. At Timpson High School, he starred in four sports—football, baseball, basketball, and track—and became one of the nation’s top prospects.

Bussey’s life has included serious family challenges. His mother died of a stroke when he was 14, and he faced other hardships before finding support at his school. Despite that, he excelled on the football field, playing quarterback, wide receiver, cornerback and return specialist. As a sophomore, he was named district MVP. In his junior year he was the starting quarterback and put up remarkable numbers—2,177 passing yards, 2,596 rushing yards and 72 total touchdowns—while also contributing on defense and special teams. Timpson reached the Class 2A state semifinals, and Bussey won the Texas Mr. Football Award, the first junior to do so since Kyler Murray, along with district MVP honors and the TSWA 2A Offensive Player of the Year. He also excelled in track, winning the state triple jump title, and earned district MVP in basketball.

In his senior season, he helped Timpson go 16–0 and win the state championship. He threw for 2,691 yards and 36 touchdowns and rushed for 1,585 yards and 24 touchdowns, earning 2A Offensive Player of the Year and another district MVP award. He finished his high school career with 5,981 passing yards, 5,631 rushing yards and 169 total touchdowns, plus 270 tackles and 24 interceptions on defense. He set state championship game records for the longest passing and rushing touchdowns, and he earned invitations to the Under Armour All-America Game and the Polynesian Bowl.

A five-star prospect and one of the top athletes in the 2024 class, Bussey committed to Texas A&M. He joined the Aggies in 2024 as a wide receiver and appeared in 12 games, recording 13 receptions for 179 yards and also rushing 97 yards with two rushing touchdowns.
