Zee Studio was an Indian English-language TV channel that showed Hollywood films and was part of the Zee Network. It launched on 15 March 2000 as Zee Movies. In October 2000, a joint venture with MGM led to the channel being renamed Zee MGM. After MGM was acquired by Sony, it became Zee Movie Zone (ZMZ) on 1 October 2004. On 28 March 2005, as part of Zee Network’s revamp, it was renamed Zee Studio. An HD version launched on 15 August 2011. The channel was based in Mumbai and broadcast in English for the Indian subcontinent, owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, with SD 576i and HD 1080i picture formats. Anurag Bedi was the business head. On 31 May 2018, Zee Studio was discontinued and replaced by &flix, which became the new English-language movie channel. The channel’s sister channel was Zee Café.
