Sturgis Municipal Airport (South Dakota)
Sturgis Municipal Airport is a public, city-owned airport that serves Sturgis, South Dakota. It sits about 4 nautical miles east of downtown Sturgis in Meade County, at an elevation of 3,243 feet. The airport covers 275 acres and has one concrete runway (11/29) that is 5,100 feet long.
In 2016, the airport recorded about 36,000 aircraft operations (roughly 99 per day), most of which were general aviation with a small share of air taxi. There were 46 aircraft based at the airport, about 92% single-engine and 8% multi-engine.
