Befandefa
Befandefa is a rural municipality in Madagascar, located in Morombe District of the Atsimo-Andrefana Region. It sits at about 22.13°S, 43.30°E and is 7 meters above sea level. The population was 11,812 in 2018. The town has primary and secondary schools, and the time zone is East Africa Time (UTC+3).
The economy is mainly fishing (about 70%). About 15% are farmers, and 2% raise livestock. The main crops are maize, cassava and sweet potatoes. Industry provides about 1% of employment, while services provide about 12%.
