Guapiaçu is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It covers about 326 square kilometers and sits roughly 480 meters above sea level. In 2020, about 21,775 people lived there, and the city is located in the north-northwest part of the state, about 17 kilometers from São José do Rio Preto.

The name Guapiaçu comes from the Tupi language and means "big spring (of a river)." The area began as a settlement at the end of the 19th century, first named Ribeirão Claro. It became a district on November 28, 1927, and changed to its current name in 1945. It was established as a municipality on November 30, 1953, when it separated from Rio Preto.

Economy: manufacturing is the main activity, making up about 53% of GDP, followed by services at around 39% and agriculture at about 7%.

Telecommunications: since July 1998, Telecomunicações de São Paulo has served Guapiaçu, which was later acquired by Telefónica and rebranded as Vivo in 2012. Vivo provides mobile, fixed-line, internet, and TV services.
