Gilberto Leonel Machado García (born 23 March 1962 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras) is a retired Honduran footballer who played mainly as a central and attacking midfielder. He spent most of his career with Marathón (1979–1991), where he became the club’s all-time leading scorer with 78 goals and was the league’s top scorer in 1987 with 19 goals. He later played for Olimpia in 1992 and finished his playing career with Deportes Progreseño (1993–1994).

Internationally, Machado earned four caps for the Honduras national team from 1987 to 1992, scoring one goal, with his final international appearance coming at the 1991 UNCAF Nations Cup against El Salvador.

After retiring as a player, Machado became a coach. He has managed several Honduran clubs, including Marathón, Real España, and Honduras Progreso. Since 2013, he has been the manager of Sula de La Lima in the Honduran second division.

Machado is married to Nancy Sobeyda Quintero, and they have two children: Leonel Alberto and Andrea Fabiola.
