Special Chabbis (Special 26) is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language period heist thriller directed by Neeraj Pandey. Based on the 1987 Opera House raid in Mumbai, the story follows Ajay Singh (Akshay Kumar) and his team who pose as CBI officers to raid politicians and businessmen and steal their black money. A real CBI officer, Ranveer Singh (Manoj Bajpayee), chases them, leading to a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game. To pull off their biggest job yet, Ajay and his gang orchestrate a big final raid in Bombay while using a fake training exercise to recruit new members. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal as Priya Chauhan, Anupam Kher as honest officer Waseem Khan, Jimmy Sheirgill as P.K. Sharma, and Divya Dutta among others. It released on 8 February 2013, was praised for its clever plot and period detail, and became a commercial success, earning significant money at the box office. The music is by M. M. Kreem with a guest track by Himesh Reshammiya. In 2018, the story was remade in Tamil as Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, starring Suriya.
