KYCS
KYCS (95.1 FM), known as Kicks 95.1, is a hot adult contemporary radio station in Rock Springs, Wyoming. It is owned by Wagonwheel Communications Corporation and has sister stations KUGR, KZWB, KFRZ, and KFZE.
KYCS plays mostly satellite-fed music from the Today's Best Hits network and features DJs, including a morning show. The station often covers local events, such as blood drives, and also broadcasts school closures.
The 11,500-watt signal comes from a tower on Wilkins Peak, giving KYCS a broad reach into northern Utah and parts of Wyoming, including Evanston to the west and Rawlins to the east. The transmitter sits at about 7,638 feet above sea level. KYCS began broadcasting in 1986 as the first sister station of KUGR.
In July 2023, The Radio Network, KYCS’s parent company, expanded by acquiring the digital publisher SweetwaterNOW, boosting its local media presence.
