Browns River (New Hampshire)
Browns River is a 2.9-mile-long tidal river in southeastern New Hampshire. It flows through Seabrook and forms part of the boundary between Seabrook and Hampton Falls for much of its length. The river begins just east of U.S. Route 1 in Seabrook and quickly enters New Hampshire’s largest salt marsh, a marsh area covering more than 3,800 acres. It runs along the north side of the Seabrook Station Nuclear Power Plant before reaching Hampton Harbor, where it joins the Hampton River. The main tributaries are Swains Creek (from the left) and Hunts Island Creek (from the right).
