South is a ward in the southern part of Luton, Bedfordshire, England. It includes New Town, Park Town, Chapel Langley, Capability Green and most of Luton town centre. About 10,364 people live there.

Junction 10 of the M1 is just outside the ward. Luton Airport Parkway station and Luton railway station are in or near the area, and London Luton Airport is close by.

The area has a mix of housing and shops. It used to be mainly working class, but new housing around Stockwood Park and the Golf Centre has brought in new residents. There is a Capability Green business park and Gypsy Lane Retail Park on the A1081 toward the town centre, with new businesses setting up and boosting the area.

There are several pubs with diverse cultures, making South one of the most diverse parts of Luton.

South includes Stockwood Park Academy (formerly Stockwood High School, later merging with Rotheram High to become South Luton High, then undergoing changes and becoming Stockwood Park Academy again). The University of Bedfordshire has accommodation in the area.

The area has good transport links to the town centre, the M1 and London Luton Airport. It is next to Luton Airport Parkway railway station, aiding connections to London and Bedford.

Stockwood Park is the main green space, and the River Lea flows through the area, bringing wildlife. The countryside nearby includes Luton Hoo.

South ward is represented by Councillors David Agbley, Fatima Begum and Javeria Hussain (all Labour). It is part of the Luton South parliamentary constituency, with MP Rachel Hopkins (Labour).

Two weekly newspapers cover South ward, though they are not specific to the area.
