Benjamin Alexander Francis Bollig is an academic who studies Latin American literature and film. He has been a lecturer at the University of Oxford since 2011 and was named Professor of Spanish American Literature in 2016.

He earned a BA in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Nottingham, then completed an MA in Latin American Cultural Studies and a PhD at King's College London, writing his thesis on Argentine literature.

After teaching in London, he spent five years at the University of Leeds (2006–2011). He then became a tutorial fellow in Spanish at St Catherine's College, Oxford, and a faculty lecturer in Spanish American Literature. He is also an associate lecturer in Spanish at St John's College, Oxford.

In 2016 he was awarded the title Professor of Spanish American Literature. As of 2017, he is editor of the Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies.

His main research is contemporary Latin American literature and film, with a focus on Argentine poetry.
