History and notable programs: The school has a history of strong arts and community involvement, including a donation center started by a teacher in 2016 that received national media attention. The school has faced various issues over the years, including a briefly challenged policy in 2004 regarding same‑sex dances (which was revoked) and a 2016 drill team investigation that led to probation for the coach and the school. In 2020–21, a daycare worker was terminated after posting a blackface photo.
Athletics: Copper Hills competes as the Grizzlies in sports such as football, basketball, lacrosse, men’s soccer, softball, swimming, and tennis.
Motto: “May what is best for students govern our actions.”
