Sibelius Society of Finland

The Sibelius Society of Finland is a group that celebrates the music of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. It was founded in December 1957. In 1974, with the Ministry of Education, it opened Ainola, Sibelius's and his wife Aino's home in Järvenpää, as a museum. Since 1965, it has organized the International Sibelius Violin Competition, held every five years.
