Shankar Rao (actor)
Shankar Rao (1936/37 – 18 October 2021) was an Indian film and television actor known for his comic roles. Born in Tumakuru, Karnataka, he began his acting career in Bengaluru theatre and founded his own theatre group, Kalakshetra. He made his film debut in Yaara Sakshi (1972) and was active in acting from 1972 to 2021. He passed away in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on 18 October 2021 at the age of 84.
