Rhys McConnochie
Rhys McConnochie (born 28 December 1936) is a New Zealand-born actor, director and teacher based in Australia. He has appeared on screen in TV miniseries such as Bodyline (as Pelham Warner) and Darlings of the Gods (as Ralph Richardson), and in the 1985 film Robbery. He was nominated for the 1990 Australian Film Institute Award for Best Lead Actor in a TV miniseries or telefeature for Come In Spinner.
In theatre, he has worked with the Sydney Theatre Company on Sixteen Words for Water, with the Melbourne and Sydney Theatre Companies on Inheritance, and he was in the original production of Bingo at the Northcott Theatre.
McConnochie has trained drama students at NIDA in Sydney, WAAPA in Perth, and the Victorian College of the Arts.
