Jay Eck, born December 24, 1950, in Madison, Wisconsin, is an American college basketball coach. He was most recently an assistant coach at Towson University.

As a player, Eck played college basketball at Xavier from 1970 to 1973. He began his coaching career at Aquinas High School in Wisconsin (1976–1979). He then moved to the NCAA as an assistant coach at Bradley (1979–1983), Pittsburgh (1983–1985), and Wisconsin–Stevens Point (1985–1987).

Eck served as the head coach at the University of Toledo from 1987 to 1991. He continued his career as an assistant at Loyola (Illinois) from 1995 to 1999 and later at Towson from 2004 to 2011.

His son, Jason Eck, is the head football coach at New Mexico.
