Edward John Hack (1 October 1913 – 20 September 1987) was an English cricketer who played one first-class match for Somerset in 1937. Born in Long Ashton, Somerset, he was a right-handed batsman and appeared at number 8 in the first innings against Lancashire at Old Trafford, but did not bat in the second innings of a drawn game. He did not bowl in his only first-class appearance. Although first-class records don’t show a bowling style, a 1939 Somerset Second Eleven match suggests he could bowl and take wickets. In club cricket for Clevedon Cricket Club, Hack was mainly a batsman who often opened the batting; he also bowled and occasionally kept wicket.
