Niniche (1918 film)
Niniche is a 1918 Italian silent film directed by Camillo De Riso. It adapts the 1878 stage play Niniche by Albert Millaud and Alfred Hennequin. The film stars Camillo De Riso, with cinematography by Giuseppe Filippa. It was produced and distributed by Caesar Film and released in February 1918 in Italy. The film uses Italian intertitles. Contemporary reviews praised the movie, with La Stampa (1918) highlighting the acting and the director’s work, and Il Piccolo di Trieste (1921) calling it a very pleasant comedy and crediting Camillo De Riso’s talent behind the camera.
